We have an exciting new program designed to help Veterans and their families that will be starting in mid-October.

barbourWhat is it you ask? Get ready. Here it comes. The program is titled “Yoga for Veterans!!!” That’s what I said, “Yoga for Veterans!!!”

It’s all about breathing, relaxation, and meditation which is intended to bring peace of mind and well-being.

The mental and physical benefits of practicing poses and breathing are very powerful in managing short and long-term stress.

None of us has any stress, do we?

I always tell everyone I don’t have stress, I’m a carrier. Surprisingly, no one has challenged that claim.

All kidding aside, this program is a great idea. The Veterans Administration has determined that yoga is great treatment for veterans and active duty military. The program is for veterans, military and their families.

We have been blessed with a great team of yoga instructors led by Dana Fish. These instructors have gone through training and are certified by Connected Warriors. They will be conducting classes at various locations in the Naperville area and the Western Suburbs. More details will follow when we get confirmation about sites.

Even better is the yoga classes are free to all veterans, service members and their families.

Give serious consideration to this program. It is worthwhile and will help you have a better life. All WWII veterans up to the present day military can benefit from Yoga for Veterans.

For further information, call the Yoga for Veterans!!! instructor and Program Coordinator, Dana Fish.

Her cell is (630) 418-0244. Or call Jan Barbour at (630) 247- 9007 or me at (630) 240-1645.
