Celebrating twenty-five years of “Bringing Harmony to Life,” The Naperville Men’s Glee Club will perform its 25th Anniversary Concert at 3PM Sunday, October 20 at Wentz Concert Hall, on the North Central College campus, 171 East Chicago Avenue. The concert will feature popular, spiritual and patriotic songs sung by NMGC and their special guests, the Varsity Men’s Glee Club from the University of Illinois directed by Dr. Barrington Coleman.

The concert will culminate in the two glee clubs collaborating on the world premiere of “Soon One Day,” a new work composed by Michael Sandvik and commissioned with support from the DuPage Community Foundation. The opportunity to come to the stage and conduct “There Is Nothing Like a Dame” will be raffled during the concert. This concert is the culmination of a year of celebration and recognition of NMGC. One of seven groups selected to participate, the Glee Club performed in the February 2013 Presidents Day Choral Festival at the Kennedy Center for The Performing Arts, Washington D.C. commemorating President John F. Kennedy. In April, they produced “NMGC Voices of Hope,” a local chorus of over 100 volunteer singers who have experienced cancer as a patient or caregiver. The capacity audience at Wentz Concert Hall enthusiastically responded to these unique musicians and songs of inspiration, strength, and hope.

Tickets for the 25th Anniversary Concert are available from any Glee Club member, by phone at (630) 448-0518, online at www.nmgc.org or at the door. Prices are $20 for adults and $16 for seniors and students.
