Gros, Bradtke and Langellier were selected from their peers and the DuPage County Fire Chiefs Association to receive this Award of Valor, which is a life-long honor for firefighters and members of the law enforcement community. The trio is being recognized for their work while responding to a victim trapped in a silo at a Naperville concrete construction company in February 2012.

“All of our firefighter/paramedics in Naperville are second to none,” Fire Chief Mark Puknaitis said. “The bravery, compassion and professionalism these three men showed last year in a difficult situation is a testament to the caliber of employee that we have in Naperville’s public safety sector.”

The Hundred Club of DuPage County is a nonprofit organization created to provide assistance to families of law enforcement and firefighting personnel who have been killed, injured or otherwise stricken while residing or working in the county. The entire community is invited to share in this awards banquet; tickets, sponsorships and donations are available by contacting (630) 375-7622, visiting www.hundredclubofdupage.org or e-mailing judy@hundredclubofdupage.org.
