The City of Naperville is proud to announce that the Hundred Club of DuPage County will honor Naperville Firefighters/Paramedics Charles Gros, Thomas Bradtke and Chad Langellier during the organization’s annual meeting and Valor Awards Banquet. The event will take place at 6:30PM on Wed., Oct. 30, at the Hilton Lisle/Naperville, 3003 Corporate West Drive, Lisle.
Gros, Bradtke and Langellier were selected from their peers and the DuPage County Fire Chiefs Association to receive this Award of Valor, which is a life-long honor for firefighters and members of the law enforcement community. The trio is being recognized for their work while responding to a victim trapped in a silo at a Naperville concrete construction company in February 2012.
“All of our firefighter/paramedics in Naperville are second to none,” Fire Chief Mark Puknaitis said. “The bravery, compassion and professionalism these three men showed last year in a difficult situation is a testament to the caliber of employee that we have in Naperville’s public safety sector.”
