Artist Reception October 12

“Signature Works” presents some of the most distinctive and skillful examples of contemporary watercolor being done by the signature members of the Illinois Watercolor Society. Each of these artists has achieved a high level of accomplishment in watercolor, yet they continue to strive for growth and improvement in their chosen medium.
These paintings showcase talents and techniques in the unique style developed by each artist. The artist’s personal vision is expressed through their choice of subject matter, color and composition.
The Illinois Watercolor Society was formed in 1981 to advance the education and caliber of watercolor throughout Illinois. While membership is open to all watercolor artists, signature membership status is gained through acceptance into multiple IWS National Exhibitions and awards received in that show. Signature members represent some of the best watercolor art being created in Illinois at this time.
