Amy Grant Bio

Grant is a six-time Grammy Award and Gospel Music Association Dove Award-winning recording artist who has sold more than 30 million albums. She has notched 10 top 40 pop singles and placed 17 hits on the Top 40 Adult Contemporary chart, as well as scoring numerous hits on contemporary Christian charts. Her hit singles include “Baby, Baby” and “Every Heartbeat.”

Grant has built a long and successful career on making music that matters. Ever since Grant burst onto the scene as a fresh-faced teenager bringing contemporary Christian music to the forefront of American culture, the Nashville native has gained a reputation for creating songs that examine life’s complexities. She became the first platinum-selling Christian artist to successfully cross over into pop music.

Grant’s 2013 release, “How Mercy Looks From Here,” is her first full-length studio album of new material in 10 years. She recruited an impressive group of friends and musical heroes, including Sheryl Crow, Vince Gill, Will Hoge, Carole King, James Taylor and Eric Paslay. The personal songs on “How Mercy Looks From Here” represent a season of growth for Grant.

“A lot of major life changes happened during these past few years.” Grant says. “So on this record, there’s zero filler. Every song has a real story behind it.”
