Work anticipated to last approximately eight weeks
The City of Naperville is planning to reconstruct Bauer Rd. between Mill St. and Briargate Dr. beginning mid-August, pending weather and unforeseen consequences. The construction is part of the City’s annual Roadway Resurfacing Program and is expected to last approximately eight weeks.
As part of the project, traffic will be restricted to westbound travel only between Mill St. and Briargate Dr. All eastbound traffic toward Mill St. will be prohibited until construction is complete. Motorists will be required to follow the provided detour route to travel east, and they should plan for additional travel time or avoid the area if at all possible. Access to side streets from westbound Bauer Rd. will remain open at all times. No parking will be allowed on Bauer Rd. at any time during the duration of the project. A map showing the project area can be found on the project webpage at www.naperville.il.us/mip.aspx.
The City will take necessary steps to minimize any inconvenience to area residents and motorists. Residents who live along Bauer Rd. will receive advance notice of special steps that will need to be taken to prepare their property for construction. Garbage and recycling collection may be slightly delayed but will continue on the regularly scheduled collection day.
