Post Updated / Aug. 16, 2013

Where has the summer gone?  Seems just yesterday Centennial Beach was being filled with more than 6 million gallons of fresh water for a season of fun in the sun, sand and shade trees.  Today is the final Friday of the 2013 swimming season.  Beginning Monday and for the next two weeks, The Beach will be open on weekends only. Residents are reminded to note the special end-of-season hours through Labor Day.

This month patrons are asked to be mindful that during the times that the Beach is open, certain sections of the water could be closed for safety reasons, due to the limited availability of lifeguards.  If the air temperature seems a little chilly for a dip, the sandy beach welcomes sandcastles and the volleyball court is set for play.
