Naper Nights / 5 – 10PM / Naper Night Community Concert Series is from 5 to 10PM Fri. July 26 at Naper Settlement, 523 South Webster St. Bring your blankets and chairs to enjoy “The History of Rock.” On Fri, July 26 come hear Kashmir: The Led Zeppelin Tribute Band with opening act Red Woody, a high-energy cover band specializing in ’70s, ’80s and ’90s radio rock hits. Tickets are $10 senior/adult (13+), $5 youth (4-12). Food and beverages will be available for purchase at the “Taste of Naperville,” sponsored by Q BBQ. No outside food or beverages are allowed. Tickets are available online or call (630) 420-6010. Tickets and memberships also can be purchased at the gate. Members are free.

Hot Jazz-6 Cool Nites concert series at North Central College / 7:30PM / The Hot Jazz-6 Cool Nites concert series is presented at 7:30PM Sun., July 21, and July 23-26 in Madden Theatre, 171 E. Chicago Ave. Featured vocalists are Janice Borla, Jay Clayton and Peter Eldridge. Tickets for each of the five performances are $20/adults and $15/students and senior citizens. The series concludes at 7PM Sat., July 27, and features student performers from Borla’s 25th annual Vocal Jazz Camp. Tickets for this show are $10/adults and $5/students and seniors. caseys meat 327Naperville Farmers’ Market / 7AM – noon / Through October 26, the Naperville Farmer’s Market Association will hold its farmer’s market every Saturday from 7AM to noon at the Fifth Avenue Station parking lot. For more information, call (630) 369-5638.

Casey’s Fires up the Grill / 10AM – 2PM / Casey’s Foods fires up its grill every Saturday and Sunday through October at Naperville Plaza, Gartner and Washington. Purchase reliable stand-bys — burgers, brats, steak and chicken tacos, etc. — and enjoy grilled specials every weekend throughout the summer and fall. Picnic tables provide seating under cover, too.

Sunday

Pancreatic Cancer Research Walk / 8AM / Pre-Registration Fee $50, Walk-In Registration Fee $60. Registration is at 8AM with the Walk beginning at 9AM at the Naperville Pavilion along the Riverwalk. Pancreatic Cancer Research Events are a great way to increase funding for research and raise awareness for pancreatic cancer. Lustgarten Foundation Events serve as a wonderful celebration of the progress being made in the fight against this disease, and your important participation provides hope for the future.

This family-fun event will include free custard from Culver’s, spin the wheel of prizes from Colonial Café, the Naperville Pink Fire Truck, and a craft table with face painting. In addition, Centennial Beach is offering a $5 admittance to any walker on July 28. Surprise appearances, too! A silent auction with more than 50 baskets will be a way to support the cause, too.

Synagogue Open House & Picnic / noon – 2PM / The Chabad Jewish Center of Naperville, 1935 Brookdale Rd., is hosting an Open House before the High Holy Days to introduce area residents to the joys of being a part of a family synagogue. Meet Rabbi Mendy and his wife Alta, tour the building, hear about programs that are offered and meet other Jewish community members. There will be a BBQ, cotton candy and face painting. The picnic is open to the entire community. Chabad does not require membership. Attendees may choose to participate in any program or service.

Concert in Your Park at Prairie Park / 7PM / The Naperville Park District’s free Concert in Your Park Series will feature tunes and Rock and Roll beginning at 7PM Sunday at Prairie Park, 416 South Charles St. For more information about Concerts in Your Park or other programs hosted by the Naperville Park District, visit www.napervilleparks.org.
