Jerrod Niemann to headline Last Fling August 30

-

Country music artist Jerrod Niemann will headline, Friday, August 30 on the Main Stage at the annual Last Fling Festival Labor Day weekend in downtown Naperville.

last-fling-web-DSC_1166Niemann’s debut album, Judge Jerrod & the Hung Jury, landed the Number No. 1 spot in 2010 delivering the No. 1 platinum-selling #1 hit “Lover, Lover” and the Top 5 single “What Do You Want.”

Niemann’s  newest album, Free The Music, is a journey through a multitude of musical styles, each of the 12 songs written or co-written to pay homage to the instrumental sounds which helped to shape the country music genre. His  song, “Get on Up” employs a unique guitar riff and well-fitting Mellotron. “Real Women Drink Beer,” combines elements of reggae with the Bakersfield Sound, “Honky Tonk Fever” with its jazz horns and varying tempos, and “I’m All About You,” is a laid-back love song featuring GRAMMY-winning vocalist Colbie Caillat. The knockout ballad and Niemann’s current chart-rising single, “Only God Could Love You More,” truly showcases Jerrod’s voice for the instrument it is.
