The Naperville Area Humane Society welcomes Ellie Stefanic as the organization’s new development director.
neStefanic held multiple roles at the American Cancer Society for over six years. One of her primary roles included Income Development Manager for the Chicago Regional Office, where she supervised twelve development staff with a successful $4.1 million budget.
Growing up in the northwest suburbs, Stefanic began her professional career with a small public relations firm in the northern suburbs of Chicago. It did not take her long to realize her passion and motivation was in making a difference in the world, however she could. It was then that she turned her avid volunteer work into a career.
Stefanic accepted a position in early 2010 with CureSearch for Children’s Cancer as Midwest Regional Development Manager. She found success with new market saturation in multiple cities throughout the Midwest.
As Development Director for the Naperville Area Humane Society, Stefanic brings a wealth of knowledge about event management and volunteer coordination, as well as individual and corporate giving. Her experience in cultivating relationships and building strong foundations will assist NAHS in bringing the organization closer to its long-term goals.
“I am honored to join such a remarkable organization,” said Stefanic. ” I feel so strongly that we need to be advocates for these amazing animals, and I am determined to help our supporters continue to engage our community in creating a more responsible, more compassionate, more humane world.”
