It’s nice to be recognized for what we’ve been doing, especially since adopting out animals is its own reward. Since we started our rescue services and adoption program in January 2011, nearly 600 animals that were scheduled to be euthanized have found homes.
The great family that owns and operates Fromm dog and cat foods was kind enough to recognize our efforts in a recently placed advertisement that celebrates both our accomplishments and our status as an independently-owned-and-operated business. The ad made me very proud of both. This is a difficult economic environment in which to operate a business. I’m proud to say we are doing OK in the midst.
I have been invited to speak to my fellow pet store operators at a trade show called SuperZoo. Later this month, I’ll be in Las Vegas speaking about the struggles and successes with our adoption program. I’ll be speaking about how other stores can do what we do. It’s nice to share what we’ve learned.
I know that any success of ours is fully traceable to our loyal customers. Without you we are whistling in the wind. In the end, we do it for the animals and for you.
