The 2013 Ribfest will be held July 3-7 at Naperville’s Knoch Park and gates are set to open today at 4PM and close at 10PM. All other days of the five-day event, hours are noon to 10PM.
Ribfest consists of family activities throughout the event, rib vendors from across the country and music. All the proceeds from Ribfest go to support the elimination of Child Abuse and Domestic Violence. Ribfest will present the annual fireworks display on July 4 with music being broadcast simultaneously by 95.9 The River.
All tickets are available online or at the gate (as long as they are available). Each ticket allows access to the park and the concert. If the event sells out in advance, there will not be tickets available at the gate (there will not be tickets available at Jewel). Gate prices are $15, online ticket prices are $12 and children 11 and under are free everyday. Tickets can be purchased online at www.etix.com.
The current schedule of bands include Styx on July 3, Casey James and Love & Theft on July 4 with Fireworks at dusk, Slash featuring Myles Kennedy & The Conspirators on July 5, Rick Springfield on July 6 and Lynyrd Skynyrd on July 7. Most headlining acts go on stage at 8PM, subject to weather, and are subject to change without notice.
