Since the day after Ribfest 2012, organizers from the Exchange Club of Naperville have been putting together a lineup of outstanding entertainment for Ribfest 2013, including different singers and choirs to sing the National Anthem at specified times every day of the five-day barbecue festival. More recently, in light of the winning season for the Chicago Blackhawks, the Ribfest Entertainment Committee has arranged for the appearance of Jim Cornelison to sing The Star Spangled Banner at Ribest on Independence Day, July 4.

Cornelison is slated to sing the National Anthem on the Navistar Main Stage between the performances of Casey James and Love & Theft.
Blackhawks fans are invited to join in and cheer in true Blackhawk’s fashion as the Exchange Club of Naperville “honors our country, our servicemen and women, and our community,” said Julie Lichter, Ribfest publicity chairman. “Cornelison’s appearance is being sponsored by Briggs Paving and M/I Homes,” Lichter added.
The gates will open at noon on July 4. Tickets can be purchased at the gate or online at www.ribfest.net. The annual spectacular fireworks display is scheduled at dusk, likely about 9:30PM. Ribfest closes for the evening at 10PM.
