On Monday, August 26, 2013, Mayor A. George Pradel will host the 33rd Annual Naperville Mayor’s Charity Golf Outing at the White Eagle Golf Club. Funds raised from the event benefit multiple children’s charities in Naperville. The outing offers guests the opportunity to enjoy a round of golf at this premier 27-hole championship course followed by Cuisine on the Green, a dinner featuring specialties from ten of the city’s finest restaurants. Non-golfing guests are also welcome to attend the dinner.
“It’s astonishing to me to realize that 32 years have passed since my good friend and advisor, the late Mayor Chester Rybicki, hosted the first Naperville Mayor’s Charity Golf Outing,” said Mayor Pradel. “With Chet’s passing last March, I am especially honored to continue the tradition and host this year’s event in his memory. I look forward to welcoming members of our community for a day of camaraderie and good fun that will benefit many deserving charities.”
Calamos Investments has signed on as a $5,000 Double Eagle Sponsor, joining Naperville Bank and Trust, Wm. Krug, Inc., Casey’s Foods and other local businesses in support of the annual event that contributes to multiple Naperville children-focused charities. Last year’s outing raised more than $33,000 for beneficiaries including Almost Home Kids, DuPage Children’s Museum, Edward Foundation Kids Care, Little Friends, Naperville Junior Woman’s Club Safety Town, Our Children’s Homestead, Samaritan Interfaith Counseling Center, Turning Pointe Autism Foundation and YMCA of Naperville.
Golf is $200 per person and is conducted using the scramble format with a shot-gun start at 1PM. The Cuisine on the Green dinner will start at 6:30PM and is available to non-golfers for $60.
