Expect Memorial Day street closures for parade in downtown Naperville

The City of Naperville reminds residents and interested parties of the upcoming street closures and parking restrictions that will be in effect throughout the Memorial Day Parade taking place at 10:30AM on Monday, May 27.

The Naperville Municipal Center, 400 S. Eagle St., will be closed in observance of Memorial Day.

In addition, residents are reminded the Naperville Municipal Center, 400 S. Eagle St., is closed on Monday, May 27 in observance of Memorial Day.

Parade route streets will be closed beginning at approximately 9:30 a.m. until approximately 1 p.m. The parade route will be a no parking, tow zone from 5 a.m. to 1 p.m. and will be posted accordingly. Parade route streets are opened to traffic as soon as the Naperville Police Department determines it is safe.

Motorists should expect delays throughout the morning hours in and around the parade area and take alternate routes or allow extra time to get to their destination. Residents are also advised that there will be no curbside garbage/recycling collection on Monday, May 27. Residents whose regular collection occurs on Monday will have their garbage and recycling picked up one day later. Garbage collection for all others will be pushed back by one day throughout the week.
