For the fifth year, the Step Up for Autism Walk and Fun Run will take place along the award-winning Riverwalk in downtown Naperville. The event is slated for Sunday morning, June 23 near the Grand Pavilion in the wide open field.
Registration starts at 8:30AM and the Walk kicks-off at 10AM. The family-friendly event is a fun and educational way to heighten awareness about autism spectrum disorders, attracting crowds of 2,000-plus people.
Geared toward families and friends of all ages, a young kids area will be packed with activities and a resource fair will feature therapy horses and dogs. Thanks to generous sponsors 95.9 The River and their very own Danielle Tufano and The River Road Crew, music and live entertainment will be on tap, too.
In 2012, the Naperville North High School Huskies stepped up to cheer for Little Friends. Folks from the Y and other youngsters from the School of Performing Arts lent their talents to the event, too.
Sponsorship and volunteer opportunities remain available. The entire community is invited; individuals, families, businesses and corporate teams are all welcome.
