Kevin Colbert has opened the doors of Colbert Custom Framing & Art Printing for public tours of the state-of-the-art facility in Market Meadows Plaza.
“People are always shocked when they see the size and scope of our operations here,” said Colbert. “We’re definitely not just your average mom and pop frame shop.”
The facility now houses an on-site warehouse, modern production facility, high-tech art printing studio, bargain remnant room, and custom framing design center.
Tour participants learn how they can come into the store with nothing in hand — just a vague idea or a wish — and the Colberts can create art (by customizing the customers own digital or scanned images or public domain images); print it (on photo paper, art paper, or canvas); and complete the dream with matting-framing-glass, as a shadow box, or as a canvas museum wrap, all on-site.
The latest computerized design and production equipment, included in the tour, enables the Colberts to produce high-quality, precision, custom work efficiently and affordably.
Customers can also experience hands-on technology through use of Photoshop-equipped computers in the art printing studio.
Store hours are 10AM-6PM Mon.-Fri. and 9AM-5PM on Sat. Groups are also welcome to arrange use the facility for a meeting venue by appointment.
