Hopping for Hope held in April chalked up another success for Ann Zediker’s personal mission to raise money for Pancreatic Cancer Research through family-fun activities. As the local leader for the Annual Naperville Pancreatic Cancer Research Walk planned for July 28, Zediker seized an easy opportunity to bring mothers and sons together.
“Our school, All Saints Catholic Academy, was hosting its daddy-daughter dance. And I thought what a fantastic opportunity to have a great night with my 7-year-old son,” Zediker said. “I decided to turn my mom-son night into a fundraiser for the walk and received resounding support from Airtastic in Aurora.”
With the assistance of the indoor playground, Hopping for Hope was created, attracting nearly 150 people. Zediker and friends filled 40 gift baskets with goodies that were raffled. In the end, they raised $1,500.
“Think outdoor playground with children running in all directions having fun while climbing, bouncing and jumping, but indoors in an incredibly clean, very bright, climate controlled environment—all the while family, friends and businesses donated their time and money to support a great cause,” Zediker added.
“The fun isn’t over yet, the walk is coming on July 28,” said Zediker. “Every dollar donated will go directly toward research.”
