The Jeanine Nicarico Memorial Fund for Literacy has enthusiastically announced a new location and new time with a new theme for the 12th annual 5K Run for Reading.

Formerly known as “Run for Reading” and held on a Sunday morning starting at an elementary school, most recently River Woods, the 2013 event will take place in the evening and have a “glow” theme, stepping off from Fifth Avenue Station. After runners and walkers wind down Plank Road and back, they’ll be welcomed to a Post 5K party with food and beverages provided by local sponsors – Café Buonaro’s, Belgio’s Catering and Hugo’s Frog Bar and Fish House.

Organizers encourage supporters to grab your friends, neighbors and family and “come out glowing for a new 5K run/walk”—and all the fun afterward at Fifth Avenue Station.

Live musical entertainment will be provided by Tres Moustache!

The part of the fundraiser that remains the same is that this special event for adults and children supports literacy programs, fitness and family in the community. All proceeds go to the Jeanine Nicarico Memorial Fund for Literacy to acquire and distribute resources that provide enriched literacy opportunities for the learners within our community.
