“We’re doing a special night specifically for our school districts and their employees—both to kickoff Teacher Appreciation week and to thank them for another great school year in Naperville,” said Katie Wood, Executive Director of the Downtown Naperville Alliance.

Organizers also aim to acquaint school employees with all the new and longtime businesses in downtown Naperville.

Employees of School Districts 203 and 204 (and their families) can check in starting at 4PM in the Main Street Promenade archway, just west of Hugo’s Frog Bar and Fish House along Van Buren Ave.

“The first 50 District 203 employees will receive a free $10 gift card and the first 50 204 employees will, too,” said Wood.

All individuals will receive will an orange wristband that identifies them for participating businesses.  Business owners also may require to see their district ID.

Mother’s Day, Too!

In addition, the merchants throughout downtown Naperville are planning special Mother’s Day shopping opportunities May 10-12 and, of course, now is a good time to make reservations for Mother’s Day Brunch on May 12.

Hugo’s Frog Bar will host brunch seatings at 10AM, 12PM and 2PM,  followed by a regular dinner menu and seating starting at 4:30PM. Cost is $45 for adults, $15 for children 12 & under (children 3 & younger are free). For reservations, call (630) 548-3764.

Catch 35 at (630) 717-3500, Heaven on Seven at (630) 717-0777 and Sullivan’s Steakhouse at (630) 305-0230 also provide popular places to celebrate Mother’s Day, too.
