Along the Riverwalk, in midstream Naperville, the DuPage River has receded several feet. Centennial Beach flooded and water is being pumped out of the old quarry. Downtown Naperville was bustling with motorists, walkers, photographers and brides to be attending the Downtown Wedding Walk, Saturday afternoon.
Downstream, the DuPage River was calmer at Knoch Knolls. The foot and bike bridge are now open to pedestrian traffic and Naperville youth can now play frisbee golf, complimented by excessive water hazards – many surrounding fields remain flooded.
