The City of Naperville reminds all residents and interested parties of the upcoming street closures that will be in effect throughout the 360 Youth Services Spring Ahead 5K & 10K Run taking place at 8AM on Sunday, April 14.
This annual event originates and ends at Calamos Investments Corporate Headquarters, located at the intersection of Route 59 and Ferry Road. The run requires temporary street closures beginning at approximately 7:30AM and ending no later than 11AM. Race route streets are re-opened to traffic as soon as the Naperville Police Department determines it is safe.
Motorists should expect delays throughout the morning hours in and around the race route area and take alternate routes or allow extra time to get to their destination. A color-coded map of the street closures and run routes is located on the City’s website at www.naperville.il.us/walkrun.aspx.

Editor’s Note: This 2012 photo reveals dandelions that already have bloomed and gone to seed. The Spring Ahead is right on schedule, but springtime is late in Naperville.
Though online registration has passed, race day registration runs from 6:30-7:30AM Sunday.
