Leo Tolstoy once said, “Spring is the time for plans and projects,” and who could argue?
As April showers wash away the last remnants of winter, many are eager to shake the stale darkness out of their homes. Sometimes, the simplest thing can add a nuance of brightness that can transform a tired space into something exciting and fresh. With that in mind, the Naperville Art League (NAL) is offering an easy solution: why not introduce a new dimension to your room by adding some original artwork? Your opportunity to find quality pieces, get a good deal and have some fun while doing it lies ahead: 5:30 – 8:30PM on Sat., April 13. NAL is hosting its “Room to Grow” Fine Art Auction at the Naperville Fine Art Center and Gallery. Admission is $10, including appetizers and libation.
Riverwalk Fine Art Fair artists and artist members of the league have stepped up in support of this event by donating a colorful array of unique pieces in oil, acrylic, pastel, watercolor, as well as ceramic, jewelry and fiber. Featured pieces include a 3-dimensional solid metal sculpture by Rick Martin and a beautiful oil pastel by George Shipperley.
Entertainment, appetizers and libation will abound as attendees focus in on their favorite items. With bids opening as low as $10, accessible fine art is yours for the asking.
All proceeds from this event will support the NAL’s planned classroom renovation which will ensure the viability of the education program for adults and children that the league offers to the community.
The Auction Preview is noon-4PM Wed, April 10-Fri., April 12 at the Naperville Fine Art Center and Gallery, located at 508 North Center St.
