It’s the beginning of another month in Naperville and April fools!

It’s another beautiful blooming day in the neighborhood just south of Aurora Avenue along River Road near the Naperville Public Safety Center.

April Fools!

To find flowering trees in Naperville this year, you have to look back through old photos such as this one from March 2012.  So far in 2013, Naperville is running weeks behind schedule in its annual showcase of flowering trees and springtime. Come on seasonal temperatures and sunshine! It’s April already. The pear trees and flower bulbs are waiting.

Campaign season is running on schedule toward April 9!

It’s no joke, however, that more than 125 candidates are running toward Consolidated Election Day next Tuesday.  And they’ve planted plenty of colorful campaign signs to grow their voter bases.  Every candidate wants you to get to them before you head to the polls. And most have requested to be linked to PN’s Voters Guide at Election Central 2013.

Naperville  Early Voting continues this week through noon on Saturday at the Naperville Municipal Center. The Naperville Municipal Center is one of nine places where voters who reside in any town in DuPage County can vote.  Naperville residents who live in Will County also can voter there.

Early Voting is Monday through Friday from 8:30AM to 4:30PM  through April 5. Also, hours will be 9AM to noon on Saturday, April 6.

NOTE! You will need a photo ID to participate in early voting.

Traditionalists still can go to the polls from 6AM-7PM Tues., April 9.

As this Riverwalk duck might say, “Take a quack at it!”

Thanks for your interest in being an informed voter before you head to the polls to cast your ballot.

Many happy returns!
