Over 200 winter clothing items donated to local charitable organizations DuPage PADS and Hesed House
DuPage Children’s Museum sponsored a winter clothing drive throughout the month of February as a tribute to Fred Rogers and his example of being a caring neighbor. Over 200 winter clothing items were collected by Museum visitors and community members and were donated to local charitable organizations, DuPage PADS and Hesed House, as part of the Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood Sweater Drive.
“This event was such a fitting tribute to Fred Rogers and the ‘caring neighbor’ feeling that the Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood series evoked,” said Sue Broad, CEO and President of DuPage Children’s Museum. “People need warmth, aid and assistance throughout the year and we are honored to have been able to provide these clothing donations to organizations that support families and individuals who require that assistance.”
