A limited number of spaces are still available in the 2013 Naperville Citizens Academy, which provides residents with a unique experience to learn more about the City’s form of government, department operations and services. This 11-week program is designed to give residents hands-on experience and insight into the City of Naperville.
Classes will meet weekly from 6:30 to 9PM beginning Thursday, April 18. Each week, participants will learn about the many aspects of local government through informative and interactive sessions with elected officials, department directors and representatives from Naper Settlement, the Naperville Public Library and the Naperville Park District. The program will culminate in a graduation ceremony officiated by Mayor A. George Pradel and the City Council.
Fewer than 10 openings remain in this year’s academy. To inquire about registration, contact Community Relations Assistant Janice Bradley at (630) 420-6707. Applications are due no later than 5PM on Friday, March 29. For more information about the program, visit www.naperville.il.us/citizensacademy.aspx.
