Junior Woman’s Club to hold 40th annual fashion show

-

The Naperville Junior Woman’s Club is holding its 40th annual fashion show fundraiser, “Four Decades Through Hollywood,” benefiting  Naperville’s Safety Town and the Humanitarian Service Project on Saturday, April 20 at the Drury Lane in Oak Brook Terrace.

safety townThis gala features a silent auction, raffles, grand prizes, luxe goodie bags, gourmet luncheon and fashion show produced by Two K Productions. The auction begins at 10AM, luncheon at noon and the fashion show at 1PM. Experience four decades of iconic films on the runway to open the show, and the latest spring fashions from top area designers including Chicago designer Boris Powell, whose “Black Swan” dress was featured at the 2011 Oscars. A list of designers can be found at www.napervillejuniors.org.

“Through the generosity of our community, the NJWC donated more than $24,000 to our community improvement project and Safety Town from our 2011 fashion show alone,” said Patti Jumper, President of the Naperville Junior Woman’s Club. “We are excited for this year’s fashion show, and we are working to give even more through the continued generosity of our community, and through the hard work and service of our club members.”

Proceeds from this fundraiser benefit the Humanitarian Service Project, an organization that assists DuPage and Kane County’s needy seniors and families with children by providing groceries, personal care items and toys, and Naperville’s Safety Town, which educates children in all areas of safety before they go off to kindergarten.

Tickets are available at two levels, VIP, which includes special front row access to the runway, champagne and an enhanced goodie bag for $100, and $75 general admission tickets. All tickets include a goodie bag, access to the luncheon and fashion show.

“I invite everyone to come to this terrific event,” said Diana Williams, fashion show Chairwoman and Vice President of the Naperville Junior Woman’s Club. “It’s fashion and fun for all, but more importantly, it ensures the continuation of programs for the needy through the Humanitarian Service Project and programs for our local educational gem, Naperville Safety Town.”
