‘Fabulous Fakes’ exhibit at Naperville Fine Art Center & Gallery / Thru March 2 / The Naperville Art League is proud to present “Fabulous Fakes,” a fascinating art exhibit with a clever twist. This crowd pleaser recruits local artists who have accepted the challenge of creating altered versions of well-known masterpieces. The viewer can then examine each work and discover the veiled parody that the artist has created. Children, especially, like to put on their “thinking caps,” and experience great satisfaction at finding the hidden alterations. VFW member Dave Szablewski has been playing with this group for more than 35 years. From 7-10PM, The Near Beer Band will perform classic Country Rock, Rockabilly, Cajun and old time Rock and Roll. West Suburban Irish Emerald Dinner / 6-10PM / The West Suburban Irish will host its annual Emerald Dinner at the White Eagle Club. 2013 marks the 20th anniversary of the West Suburban Irish in Naperville. During the event, the Parade Queen is crowned and her court is introduced, the Firefighters Highland Guard of Naperville perform, the Trinity Irish Dancers step into a pre-dinner performance.
