“The Young Artists Showcase competition gives Naperville students an opportunity to display their artistic talents,” said Rich Mikolajczyk, former Co-Chair of the Sister Cities Commission. “It also provides students with increased exposure of their emerging talents and techniques. In 2012, Neuqua Valley High School student Morgan Demski’s artwork was a ‘top 10’ finalist in the international competition and gained national and international exposure. I hope other students see this showcase as a way to display their artwork and choose to enter.”

The Young Artists Showcase is open to Naperville residents as well as Naperville Community Unit School District 203 and Indian Prairie School District 204 students between 13 and 18 years of age by April 30, 2013. The deadline for entries is Friday, April 12, 2013, at 4PM. All completed artwork and entry paperwork should be brought to the Mayor’s Office at the Naperville Municipal Center, 400 S. Eagle St., by the deadline.
