Naperville Park District Board President Kirsten Young will present the third annual “State of the Park District” address in Community Hall at the Alfred Rubin Riverwalk Community Center on Saturday morning, Feb. 9. The public is welcome and encouraged to attend. A light breakfast and networking will begin at 8AM. The formal presentation will start at 8:30AM.
The “State of the Park District” address has become one of the many ways for the Park District to communicate both formally and informally with the community. For example, in 2012 the District conducted a Community Interest and Opinion Survey and held several public outreach events including park openings and open house meetings to discuss capital projects and the 2012 Master Plan.
Attendees will have the opportunity to enter a drawing to win a 2013 Centennial Beach season membership or a round of golf for two at either Springbrook or Naperbrook golf courses.
The Alfred Rubin Riverwalk Community Center is located at 305 W. Jackson Ave., just down the block from the Naperville Park District Administration Building. Community Hall is on the second floor, with parking on the north side of the building.
Note: The Consolidate Election is Tues., April 9. The Naperville Park District Board of Commissioners has four open seats, all of which are uncontested.
Commissioners Kirsten Young, Gerry Heide, Bill Egan and Mike Reilly will retain their seats to serve.
