Get ready for Naperville Reads and ‘Wonder’

Since the inception of Naperville READS in 2002, the goals have included engaging the entire community in reading and then discussing selected titles.

Fifth grade students from Kingsley and May Watts Elementary Schools in School districts 203 and 204 shared enthusiasm about the Feb. 5 visit of R.J. Palacio, author of “Wonder,” and Naperville READS 2013 children’s author during a recent City Council meeting, Councilman KENN MILLER read the Mayor's proclamation declaring February and April "Naperville READS Months, then gave it to Naperville READS Coordinator Karen Hutt. Tickets to Naperville READS presentations are available at Anderson’s and all Naperville Public Library locations.

The program promotes the pleasures of reading as well as providing a way for all ages to discuss the issues and concepts involved in the selected titles. Naperville READS is sponsored by Jumping Off the Page in partnership with Anderson’s Bookshop, Naperville Public Library, Naperville Community Unit School District 203 and Indian Prairie School District 204.
