Mayor A. George Pradel to share highlights of 2012 and focus on community togetherness
Mayor A. George Pradel will highlight the events of 2012 and emphasize community groups’ commitment to working together at his 18th annual State of the City address, taking place from 11:30AM to 1PM on Monday, January 28 at the Chicago Naperville Marriott Hotel, 1801 N. Naper Blvd. The luncheon event hosted by the Naperville Area Chamber of Commerce and sponsored by BMO Harris Bank will take place in the main ballroom on the west side of the hotel.
“Many remarkable events and success stories took place in Naperville in 2012, but they all had a common theme: community,” Mayor Pradel said. “Every organization in Naperville works together for the betterment of the community as a whole, and this year, I really wanted to celebrate the relationships we have in Naperville and the efforts of all these different organizations. I have lots of good news to share, and I look forward to seeing as many people as possible at this event.”
The Naperville Area Chamber of Commerce proudly hosts this event annually and works to bring its diverse membership base to attend. With a consistently sold-out crowd, the State of the City address allows business professionals, elected officials and residents to come together and reflect on community achievements.
“The Chamber has a very productive relationship with the city and we exchange ideas on ways we can continue to improve our community and uphold the quality of life our businesses and residents have come to enjoy every day,” said Mike Evans, president & CEO of the Naperville Area Chamber of Commerce. “Mayor Pradel’s inspirational address acknowledges the tireless work, volunteerism and partnership that make Naperville such a special place, and we know we are in store for another great presentation from him.”
Registration for this event is highly encouraged and should be made by Friday, January 25 by visiting www.naperville.net or by calling (630) 355-4141. Walk-ins will be accepted Monday morning if space is available.
