At noon on Jan. 19, bankers at the First Community Bank Naperville closed the doors to its location on West 75th Street where it opened in July 2008.
When the community bank opens again at 8AM Tues., Jan. 22, FCB Market President Pat Benton is mindful that the new location in Naperville Plaza is the same location where the former Washington Bank & Trust stood in the 1970s. In fact, the original vault still stands in the building.
In addition to “continuing tons of personal service,” Benton said the new spacious location will offer a drive-through banking window and a drive-up Automatic Teller Machine (ATM).
Since First Community Bank opened four and half years ago, its business and personal bankers have been committed to the people and businesses of Naperville. And during recent visits to observe the progress of the renovation, Benton was quick to showcase the fine work of a variety of locally-owned businesses that since October have been helping to return the interior back into an attractive and functional banking facility. Mustang Construction, Advanced Data Technologies, Roseland Draperies & Interiors, Great Western Flooring, M. J. Interiors in Fifth Avenue Station and Taylor Cabinetry are among the local businesses that worked with Benton and other bankers to design the details for the new interior with its teller station, offices, conference rooms and more.
To welcome customers, the design in the entry flooring tile features a large custom-cut Number One, a first impression that “At First Community Bank, people —and your business —come first.”
