The giclée art printers are busy these days at Colbert Custom Framing & Art Printing. The company has been poised for years to fill the void left by area camera stores, like Wolf ™ and Ritz ™ that have gone out of business due to the collapse of the film market in favor of digital images and smart phone cameras.
“People call and stop in more and more often asking where they can get photo enlargements and canvas prints made now that the local camera stores are gone,” said owner Kevin Colbert. “We are pleased to tell them that we do it all right here!”
Since 2006, the Colberts have offered art printing (including large format) and related services such as Photoshop alterations, digital photo restoration, custom collages, photo mosaics, pop art, and many other creative ideas and solutions as well as Photoshop workshops.
Customers can choose from a variety of mediums, including photo chrome, double weight matte, poster paper, and canvas. The resulting art prints are made using archival, faderesistant pigments for images that last a lifetime.
“Customers appreciate having a local source for quality, cost-effective printing, “said Sue Colbert. “Our new slogan is, “We print it, we frame it, you love it!”
Colbert Custom Framing & Art Printing is located in Market Meadows Plaza at 75th and Naper Blvd. Visit the Colberts at their store or at www.ColbertCustomFraming.com.
