Naperville Community Television is proud to announce that the first episode of our newest sports program will air on Sunday, December 16th at 7PM. Naperville Sports Weekly Plus is a monthly, 30-minute interview show featuring extended interviews of local high school athletes and coaches as seen on Naperville Sports Weekly.

In December’s episode, host Alex Symonds will talk with Neuqua Valley High School senior swimmer Gia Dalesandro and Benet Academy Athletic Director Gary Goforth.
Dalesandro was a two-event winner at the 2012 IHSA State Swimming & Diving meet in Evanston, taking first in the 200-yard individual medley and the 100-yard butterfly. Dalesandro was named Naperville Sports Weekly’s athlete of the fall. She plans to swim competitively at Indiana University in the fall, and sits down with Symonds to talk about her high school career, her participation in the 2012 Olympic trials and her swimming plans after graduation.
Goforth is the Athletic Director at Benet Academy, where the Redwings had a great showing during the fall sports season. Goforth talks football with Symonds, a program that won a share of the ESCC crown and advanced to the semifinals in the 7A state playoffs. Goforth also speaks to the girls’ volleyball team, a group that won their second consecutive 4A championship in November.
