WDSRA Celebrates 95th Street Center Grand Opening with Naperville Park District / 9 to 11:30AM / Western DuPage Special Recreation Association (WDSRA) is pleased to be part of Naperville Park District’s 95th Street Center grand opening celebration on Saturday, December 8, from 9-11:30AM at 2244 West 95th St., Naperville. At the event, WDSRA staff will host an interactive display where attendees can try out a “vision simulator” and Braille books giving them a sense of what it is like to be visually impaired, while raising awareness of WDSRA programs and services.

New Horizons Band DuPage Annual Holiday Concert / 3PM / The New Horizons Band DuPage will be in concert on Saturday, December 8 at 3PM with a program of traditional and holiday music to celebrate the season. Youth Symphony of DuPage performs at The Wentz Concert Hall / 7:30 to 9:30PM / Youth Symphony of DuPage are dedicated to bringing advanced ensemble training and performance opportunities to 130 talented young musicians from DuPage County and nearby towns. The performance by the Preparatory Orchestra for this evening includes Bizet’s “March” from Carmen, Schubert’s “March Militaire” and the Finale from Beethonven’s 9th Symphony. The Symphony will perform Glinka’s “Overature to Russlan and Ludmilla”, Bach’s “Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring” and two movements from Handel’s “Wassermusik.” Open seating, with admission cost $7 for adults and students. The Wentz Concert Hall is located at 171 E. Chicago Avenue on the campus of North Central College.
