For several years, the Naperville Garden Club has featured a photo safari of South Africa during our major fundraiser, the Cup of Cheer™ House Walk, Holiday Market and Tea.
This year, we are extending the invitation beyond this event to you. This adventure is for twosomes and includes six days and nights at your choice of one of four Zulu Nyala properties in Kwa Zulu Natal, three meals per day and two game drives per day on the property. Airfare and transportation to the properties is not included. The price is $1,500 (per twosome). You also may want to make arrangements to meet the owner of the properties, one of South Africa’s premier diamond merchants. New this year is The Gardens of London trip, featuring the 2013 Centennial Chelsea Flower Show. The trip leaves from O’Hare on Sat., May 18, and returns on Sat., May 25. The tour features a reception with members of the Royal Horticultural Society and you will become a “member” of the RHS which will allow you to go to the Chelsea Flower Show on its members-only day, before it opens to the public. Also, tours of London with a local guide, the living museum at Hampton Court Palace, Windsor Castle (home of the flagship garden of the Royal Horticultural Society) and the Royal Botanical Gardens at Kew are included. The price of the trip is $4,249 per person, based on double occupancy. It includes round-trip air from O’Hare, lodging, tours and 9 meals.
