The Rotary Club of Naperville South AM presented a check for $6,000 to Turning Pointe Autism Foundation in Naperville. The check represented the proceeds from the club’s Rotary Ride 2012 fundraiser in August.
“We want to thank our sponsors, the riders who participated and our volunteers for making the Rotary Ride so successful,” said Club President Dan Richardson. “We are pleased to be able to help such a significant organization.”
CEO Walter Johnson accepted the check for Turning Pointe Autism Foundation. “We are grateful for the support of organizations such as the Rotary Club of Naperville South so we can continue our mission of assisting individuals and families impacted by autism,” Johnson said.
One of Rotary Ride’s sponsors, Dr. W. John Bull, Jr. of The John Bull Center for Cosmetic Surgery and MediSpa at DuPage Plastic Surgery, said that his youngest son has benefited from the services offered at Turning Pointe.
“Through therapy and support, he has made great improvements. Turning Pointe Foundation is a great organization for people with autism with the ability to help them cope with autism throughout life. I believe everyone with autism can benefit from the support that the Turning Pointe Foundation provides and I wanted to help as much as I could,” Dr. Bull said.
Founded in Naperville, Illinois, Turning Pointe serves the Chicago metropolitan area with programs and initiatives that include family and home support, the Turning Pointe Autism Day School and the Turning Pointe Career College.
