Dupage Children’s Museum to host Bubble Bash NYE

Countdown to noon this New Year’s Eve at the 11th Annual Bubble Bash celebration hosted by DuPage Children’s Museum on Monday, December 31 from 10:30 a.m. to Noon. This year’s event takes place at the beautiful Wentz Concert Hall (171 E. Chicago Ave., Naperville, IL) on the campus of North Central College, just blocks from the Museum and downtown Naperville. Activities include a musical performance by Jeanie B. and the Jelly Beans, a Bubble Wonders show by Bubble Man Geoff Akins and a countdown to noon led by Naperville Mayor A. George Pradel.

“This is an event that our members and visitors look forward to each year,” said Sue Broad, President and CEO of DuPage Children’s Museum. “In the rush of the holiday season, it’s important to take time out to enjoy family, celebrate the past year and look forward to opportunities the new year may bring.”

Geoff Akins, also known as Bubble Man, will provide a lively bubble demonstration for Bubble Bash attendees. Children will be spellbound as Akins creates bubble caterpillars, ice cream cones, bubble merry-go-rounds and more! Akins has been entertaining and educating children with his bubble wizardry and hands-on performances for over 25 years and will excite and amaze audiences of all ages.Award-winning musical group Jeanie B. and the Jelly Beans will deliver a rousing live show turned dance party that will surely get the young and old alike up on their feet and singing along. The group’s upbeat songs are hilarious and educational, with a driving beat that speaks to the heart of what it means to be a kid.

“Bubble Bash is more than a holiday tradition; it’s a gathering of families celebrating together,” said Mayor Pradel. “Families and children are at the heart of our community and I’m delighted to lead the ceremonial countdown. It’s such a thrill to be with so many families and young people as we begin another exciting year filled with promise.”

Bubble Bash tickets are $10 for Museum members and $15 for nonmembers. An additional $2/ticket box office service charge will apply.
