The Republic Bank of Chicago donated $2,500 to the Loaves & Fishes Community Pantry of Naperville recently to benefit the nonprofit’s mission to end hunger in the Naperville community, by providing in-need residents with food and other essentials.
“As part of the social collective and avid contributors to the well-being of the Naperville community, we’re firm believers of the Loaves & Fishes mission,” said Susan Fisher, EVP Retail Banking and Director of Marketing for Republic Bank. “It is our great pleasure to make this donation to their organization. The incredible services they provide to the hungry and destitute at a time when giving whatever we can manage can mean so much is remarkable.”
“Loaves & Fishes is grateful for the support of Republic Bank during this holiday season,” said Charles McLimans, Executive Director/CEO of Loaves & Fishes Community Pantry. “This generous donation will provide holiday meals and shopping visits for 100 families in our community. We value the contributions of Republic Bank, demonstrating the power of community in action.”
Food drive is ongoing
Also, the Republic Bank Naperville Banking Center is currently hosting a food drive, and all non-perishable items will be donated to the Loaves & Fishes Community Pantry.
Serving the Naperville area since 1984, the Loaves & Fishes Community Pantry is dedicated to the mantra that food is a right, not a privilege, and, just like Republic Bank, believes the power of community can change lives.
