By 4PM on Black Friday, 20 artfully painted snowman sculptures had rolled onto the sidewalks in downtown Naperville, certain not to melt as they’re ready to warm hearts this holiday season. The tour of the whimsical snowman exhibit will shine under the spotlight during this new family celebration to bring joy for all ages.

Since August when the sculptures were picked up at the Public Works facility, local artists have been creating magical designs that brought the snowmen to life. All 20 snowman sculptures decorated in different themes, sponsored by local businesses, were unveiled to the “oohs and ahs” of youngsters, rushing from one to the next along Main, Jefferson, Jackson and Van Buren streets. Downtown was a happening place where kids were dancing around the snowmen, giving hugs and posing for photos.

You can believe that more than a few things are in store for all ages, sure to whet every appetite throughout the holiday season!

The snowman exhibit will remain on display downtown until mid-January. Vote for your favorite snowman sculpture by Dec. 28 at www.downtownnaperville.com.

Update! Posing for photos is terrific! Thanks for sharing your photos on Facebook.  The Downtown Naperville Alliance also thanks you for not hanging from the snowmen sculptures or standing on their bases.

A jolly old elf will be at the Riverwalk Santa House daily from now until Dec. 23.
