Naperville CARES, a volunteer-driven organization with a mission to help local families in financial crisis meet their essential needs by providing emergency financial support and resources, announced that Kaleen Barbera, Vice President and Senior Private Banker at BMO Private Bank in Naperville, has joined the nonprofit’s board of directors.
“We are delighted to welcome Kaleen to the board where her strong business background and not-for-profit experience will be a tremendous asset to the work of the board,” noted Janet Derrick, Naperville CARES executive director.
In addition to more than a decade in the banking and the financial services industries, Kaleen has served for seven years on the CASA Kane County Board of Directors and currently serves on the CASA Emeritus Committee and the Chairman’s Advisory Panel. Kaleen is also a former Rotarian as a member of the Rotary Club of St. Charles from 2001-2010.
Kaleen said, “I am honored to be elected to serve on behalf of such a worthy organization. I look forward to applying both my non-profit board experience and my passion for community involvement in supporting the mission of CARES.”
The 15- member board supports Naperville CARES’ mission, purpose, goals, policies and programs, serving as ambassadors to the community and advocating on behalf of the organization.
