Rep. Senger presents grant check for Élan Dance Company

At the November 8, 2012 meeting of the Naperville Park District Board of Commissioners, Representative Darlene Senger presented a ceremonial check to the Naperville Park District on behalf of the Illinois Arts Council. The check represents a $1,500 Dance Program Grant awarded to the District in support of the Élan Dance Company.

Representative Senger congratulated Élan Dance Company for their hard work and excellence that helped win the grant award.

Following the presentation, 15 members of Élan Dance Company gathered on the stage of the City Council Chambers and gracefully performed a dance entitled, “Linear,” choreographed by Naperville Park District dance staff member Tracey Krzysiak.

Élan dancers are preparing for performances later this month at the Fox Valley Dance Showcase at Metea Valley High School and at the Chicago Toy & Game Fair at Navy Pier. The public may attend both events. Tickets for the 7:30PM November 17 performance at the Fox Valley Dance Showcase are available at the Metea Valley High School box office, located at 1801 North Eola Rd. in Aurora. Tickets for the Chicago Toy & Game Fair can be purchased at the door, with discount coupons available at www.chitagfair.com. ; Élan Dance Company will be performing at the Fair on Sunday, November 18 at 10:30AM and at 2PM.
