Video Voice — ‘Our Story’

As part of Naperville Community Television’s year-long 25th Anniversary celebration, the citizens of Naperville joined the staff of NCTV17 on May 2, 2012, to tell the story of their community. Throughout the day, people stopped what they were doing and recorded their lives, their surroundings, their loved ones, and their city.

Footage was captured on professional HD cameras, cell phones, “flip” cameras, digital cameras and even the old family camcorder. No matter what type of camera was used, the moments captured were then submitted to NCTV17.

After months of sorting through all of the submitted material, NCTV17 will unveil the final documentary: a stunning testimony to a day in the life of Naperville. One day, one community, hundreds of moments captured in one story – “Our Story.”

A special screening of “Our Story” will take place at the Madden Theatre on the campus of North Central College on Thurs., Nov. 15. This fundraising event will cap off a year of events and activities celebrating NCTV17’s 25 years of broadcasting. The documentary will then premiere on Channel 17 at 8 PM on Sun., Nov. 18, and will be rebroadcast multiple times throughout the remainder of the year.
