Turkey Shoot Golf Tourney to take place Nov. 17 at Naperbrook & Springbrook

-

Springbrook Golf Course

An annual pre-Thanksgiving tradition, Naperbrook and Springbrook Golf Courses will host the 2012 Turkey Shoot golf tournament at 9AM on Saturday, November 17, rain or shine. Registration for the event begins Saturday, November 10. Last year the event sold out with a record 210 participants.

In addition to the challenge of playing golf in unpredictable November weather, Turkey Shoot golfers may choose to donate nonperishable food and/or their free turkey (or equivalent cash) to Loaves & Fishes Community Pantry for the 2012 Thanksgiving food drive. In 2011, Turkey Shoot donations totaled $860 and 556 lbs. of food.

Interested golfers may register as a fivesome, as a smaller group, or as a single. Singles and smaller groups will be paired as fivesomes for the nine-hole tournament.

Registrations will be taken in person (recommended) or by phone at Springbrook Golf Course, located at 2220 W. 83rd St. in Naperville, and at Naperbrook Golf Course, located at 22204 W. 111th St. in Plainfield. Registration begins Saturday, Nov. 10 at 8AM and is on a first-come, first-served basis until all spots are filled at both courses.
