Find new greetings at Naperville printer

-

Minuteman Press in Naperville keeps moving forward with innovative new ideas for customers, both from the company’s showroom and online.

Owned and operated by Naperville resident Ray Kinney, the local entrepreneur is known for his enthusiastic, “Hey!” when customers walk through the front door.

Every visit to the company’s showroom is a time to discover what’s new in  printing, a business that today offers much more than the traditional staples of running a business such as  stationery, note cards, business cards, menus, theater programs and brochures.

Printing also includes  a wide variety of promotional pieces from  coolers to coffee mugs to baseball caps.

When the Naperville printer introduced playing cards early in 2011, PN jumped at the good deal to celebrate  its 10th year in business.

And at the end last year, Positively Naperville columnist Ed Channell used the services of Minuteman Press to create a book, complete with all of his works. Many self-published writers have found Minuteman Press to be most accommodating. Just ask to see the collection.

During a recent visit to pick up printed green and blue KIN stickers to promote “Kindness In Naperville,” PN made arrangements with Vice President of Client Relations,  Rosemarie Breske Garvey,  to see other items that can be emblazoned with a company logo or special  message.

While looking at many promotional  items on display for golf outings, restaurant give-aways, hotel stays, etc,  Garvey noted some items such as personalized  calendars are ordered for holiday gifts. A grouping on one wall is an exhibit of canvas photo prints, a way to create a customized gift from a favorite photo.

While on the way out, another local businessman, John Gallagher, was on his way out with an armload of office supplies. Gallagher mentioned that Minuteman Press also designs his marketing pieces and advertising.  It’s all there in one stop, he said.

Duly Noted by Blooming Color!

In other news,  Minuteman Press recently launched its new online greeting card site called “Duly Noted by Blooming Color!”

“With a few simple steps, you can upload your photos, personalize your holiday cards and pick them up in a matter of days,” said designer Kelly Gibbs.

Visit their new site and check  out what’s already up and running at www.DulyNotedbyBlooming.com.

“We are adding new designs for you daily, so check back often!” Gibbs added.

A Little Local History

The commercial printing group found online at www.naperprinting.com includes Minuteman Press, a traditional printer started in 1989 in Naperville as part of the oldest and largest printing franchise in the world. Back then, printing consisted of two-color offset printing presses, black and white copies, and fast-turn around. Within a few years the Naperville location grew into the top performing store worldwide, and remains number one today.

In recent years,  the printing group has expanded and grown with technology to include four printing locations, including its state-of-the-art commercial printing facility, Blooming Color Inc., located in Lombard.

With strong roots in the community, Kinney and other folks at Minuteman Press lend time, talents and resources toward a variety of organizations and charitable causes.  What’s more, just about any time  you visit the local enterprise, you’ll encounter someone you know from North Central College, the Naperville Area Chamber of Commerce or a local service club who supports the concept of doing business locally whenever possible.

Minuteman Press in Naperville is located at 1577 N. Naperville/Wheaton Rd.
