According to the Indian Prairie School District 204 official community newsletter released via e-mail on November 10, ” District 204’s Board of Education is moving forward with filling the seat currently vacant on the seven member school board. Twenty-one community members expressed interest in filling the seat, which became vacant when Curt Bradshaw was appointed to serve on the Illinois State Board of Education. Board members met last week to review and discuss the application materials submitted and selected five candidates to interview. Interviews will take place next week with a goal to appoint a new board member at the October 29 meeting.
“President Susan Rasmus said she was appreciative of the number of candidates that expressed an interest in serving on the school board.
“‘We are pleased with the high level of qualifications, both educationally and professionally, that the applicants bring to the table. It’s great to see so many community members willing to volunteer their time and talents on behalf of all students in our district.’ Rasmus wrote.
“The five community members scheduled for interviews are Paul Golden, Patrick Lee, Michael Raczak, Benjamin White and one more who later asked not to be mentioned.”
