Dupage PADS to host Bulls legend Bob Love for breakfast

-

WHEATON, IL – DuPage PADS will host the 10th Annual Wake Up Your Spirit Breakfast at Benedictine University in Lisle on Wednesday, Nov. 7 from 7-8:30AM. The Breakfast will feature Chicago Bull’s legend and motivational speaker Bob Love.

Love played with the Chicago Bulls for eight seasons from 1969 to 1976. For seven years he was the Bulls highest scorer and is currently the third highest scorer in Bulls history, behind Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen. In spite of all his success as an athlete, Bob had a serious stuttering problem.

When Love retired from basketball he struggled to find work and was finally hired as a dishwasher for $4.45 an hour. For years, Bob tried hard to be able to talk and found a speech therapist who helped him learn to speak without struggling. Now, Bob is the Community Relations Director for the Chicago Bulls and is a perfect example of having a dream and working to make it a reality.

“We are thrilled to have Bob Love as our motivational speaker and are excited to hear his story of determination. It’s awe-inspiring to hear his story of perseverance and success,” says Carol Simler, DuPage PADS Executive Director.

Tickets are available for $40 per person on or before Oct. 26 and $45 per person after. Tables of 8 are also available for $320 per table on or before Oct. 26 and $360 per table after. For more information please call DuPage PADS at 630.682.3846 x252 or register online at www.dupagepads.org.

Proceeds from the Wake Up Your Spirit Breakfast will support DuPage PADS programs that provide housing and support services, including education and employment to assist individuals and families who are homeless in DuPage County. Please join us on November 7th and help us end homelessness in DuPage County.
