Recycling Extravaganza at North Central College / 9AM-Noon / North Central College will host a Recycling Extravaganza from 9AM to noon Saturday, Oct. 6, on its campus in the parking lots behind Merner Field House, 450 S. Brainard St. This event is open to DuPage County residents, not businesses or nonprofit organizations. To drop off items to be recycled, residents must enter the parking lots from Loomis Street. Heritage Hall of Honor at Naper Settlement / 2-4PM / Come celebrate with the honorees as they are inducted into the Naperville Heritage Hall of Honor from 2- 4PM Sun., Oct. 7, during this yearly recognition for people and organizations who have made a significant impact and contribution to Naper Settlement and the Naperville Heritage Society. This year’s honorees are Tom Brown and Nancy Stoneberg, Robert Jansen, Dave Kelsch, North Central College, Don and Pat Shanower and Sullivan’s Steakhouse. Admission to the presentation is free, which will be held at Century Memorial Chapel.

Visit day at North Central College / 9:15AM – 12:15PM / High school students and their parents or guardians are invited to attend North Central College’s Visit Day on Monday, Oct. 8. Registration begins at 9:15AM in the Wentz Concert Hall lobby at the Fine Arts Center, 171 E. Chicago Ave., and concludes with lunch at 12:30PM. Visitors can take a walking tour and attend informative sessions on financial aid, academic highlights and student life.
