KidsMatter Volunteer Fair

5:30 – 7:30PM / Over 28 nonprofits who need youth volunteers to deliver their services will be participating in this year’s Fair. Each organization will have representatives on hand to discuss volunteer and service opportunities. The Fair is being held at the Naperville Municipal City Municipal Center located at 400 S. North Central College hosts speaker Alex Sanchez for Anti-Hate Week

7PM / North Central College hosts keynote speaker Alex Sanchez for the College’s annual Anti-Hate Week at 7PM Tuesday, Oct. 2, in the Harold and Eva White Activities Center, 325 E. Benton Ave. A young adult author, Sanchez will talk about his experiences writing his “Rainbow Boys’ trilogy of novels and growing up as a gay Mexican immigrant. West Suburban Irish Quiz Night at Quigley’s Pub

7PM / The West Suburban Irish Quiz Night will begin its 7th season at Quigley’s Irish Pub located at 43 East Jefferson Ave., in downtown Naperville. The Digital Age: Is My Child Ready?

7 – 8PM / 360 Youth Services and KidsMatter will present “The Digital Age: Is My Child Ready?” at the Brookdale Office location, 1935 Brookdale Rd – Suite 119, Naperville. Based on his experience as a police officer in our community, Jeff Bean, President of Act on Bullying, will provide parents with practical tips for monitoring their child’s online activities.
